May 9, 2014

I wasn't able to get very much information because I did not have a computer but I did talk to Mrs. Larsen and Mr. Haire about the way children act when they don't have both parents and what happens to the children when they get older.

Ashton Kutcher teen choice awards.

I agree with what Ashton said. I agree because he actually talked about himself and how in a way he came from the low then changed into this huge star.
For the month of April I have done a lot for my 20% project. I got more information from preschools, and more from Mr. Haire. I think that by the end of May that my project will be in a way complete but it will take more time for me to figure out the actual end of my project to see if there are any classes that could effect the changes of a family if there was hope to cure those parents who don't know what they are doing. by the end of this month I hope to have a little more information on what the process what might be to get our state to help out those troubled kids parents get stable to their kids wont end up being out of  control teenagers.

The formula was damage of the housing and the hit points and averages them then divided them by the housing space. bonus points were added for the ability  to go over walls and points were subtracted for length in training time. Our top two characters were the Dragon and Pekka. we made both of them the CEO because they both were the strongest and the two that were not used and did not have as many of them as the others.

TODAY 4/15/2014 I bought 28 shares of Verizon. their dividend is 2.16. they tend to stay steady in their stock price but do go up more during the summer months. I thought that might be because the people I know tend to have to get a new phone during the summer because they drop their phone in the pool or lose it while camping.
TRADE VS. INVESTMENT

yesterday 4/10/14 I bought 4 shares of JNJ at $96.20 and I also bought 5 shares of CASH AMERICA INTERNATIONAL INC. I bought these because JNJ keeps going up in stock price and during the summer more people tend to use their products. and I bought the 5 shares of Cash America International because when all the stocks were down they were still up $4.

the week of April 11, 2014. I made the call to Apple Academy. They told me that it was fine for me to come in on April 25. also I talked to Mr. Haire today about what he thought about if children who are treated wrong will affect their teen age years. he said he would write me some notes to look in on and to see if there was anything WE could do to try and help those struggling children.

Today Wednesday, April 9, 2014 I bought 10 shares of Disney (DIS). I bought Disney because Disney always stays around the same price range. Right now it is up .90. It was a dividend of .86 which isn't a lot at all. over a year the price has gone up towards the winter months because more people are inside watching Disney movies with their families. and I think it was a good choice because even though summer is coming up with all the new movies families are spending more time watching them. :)

in order to get my project approved in Kickstarter I think I would have to get more people involved with my plan to try and better younger parents so they take more action and give their child(ren) the attention that they need. if I was able to get a support group together and maybe some funding to have a group of councilor's there to give the family some ideas and maybe ways that they can get financial help. if I was able to get this funded I think it would reduce the number of calls that are made to DFS daily and would help the parents better understand their child(ren).
Today April 4, 2014
Today I am going to call apple academy because Lynn said that the lady in charge there will  be able to give me some more good information on their daycare/preschool. then I will try to set up an appointment with her for next Friday so I will hopefully be able to get my things together and come up with an out come of how everything is going to work in the end. if the state would give parents more opportunities to get more help on being a good parent.
in the month of march I did take a huge step in the slow process of finding out the different information on how often and what actions should be taken when they notice something is different about the child. after talking with Lynn two weeks ago it has opened up my eyes more and has taught me that the parents now day don't know anything about taking care of their children. and that the state of Wyoming lets parents get away with a lot more things that they shouldn't be able to  do to their children.

this week I bought 3 shares of Procter and Gamble at $80.07 a share. I thought this was a good idea because in the last 5 weeks it has gone up 3 dollars and keeps increasing by 10-20 cents a day. it rarely decreases. in the last 52 weeks proctor and gamble has gone up and then slightly back down but keeps rising during spring, summer and winter months. this time last year they were at $78.12. and as of right now they are at $80.10 I predict that it will keep going up by a few cents and by the end of May it will be around $84.00.

this week I also bought 2 shares of Walgreens Co. at $66.11. it is now up at $67.09. I thought this was a good choice because when people don't want to go to Wal-Mart because of how many people there are they go to Walgreens. in the last 52 weeks it has continued to rise and if it keeps rising I will be making more money. with in the next 4 weeks I think that it will rise at least another $4. because it seems to be on a high peak right now.

Candy and paper money stock project 3/19/2014

While I was standing in huge door way I thought to my self I need to get as much as I can. The rush that ran though my body was crazy. I thought that when we all got through the door that something bad could happen. But to do whatever I could to get as much of the candy and paper money as possible.
When all the candy and money was collected I thought ok now what. I sat there as the prices for the different stocks kept going up and down. Thinking ok what is it that I am going to need that will get me a higher amount in huge end.
After bout five minutes of trading candy for money and money for candy I knew what it was that I was going to need. Smarties, cash and gold butterscotch and whatever else I already had that would possible benefit my total in the end.
When there was 2 minutes of trading and watching the stocks go up and down I knew it was time to think about what I am really going to do with what I have in my hands already. Once the trading was done we were told to count the money and candy to see what our total was. Mine came out to be 2170. The highest was over 5000. Wow. That's a lot more then I thought someone would have.
While leaving the room i was thinking about how it was going to benefit me in the real world and I realized that when I get older I will have to deal with what comes right away and not know what's coming.
Today- 3/21/2014
I went to the Learning Garden to talk to Lynn Easum about how often they have to get involved with the parents and when they think that its time to get DFS involved with getting the parents and child or children help.
With in the 10 years Lynn has owned the Learning Garden she has only had to get DFS involved twice. Although, they do take more action then you think. When they see or think there might be a problem with a child they contact the parent or parents to have a meeting. Lynn said that she thinks that when there are problems with a child at a young age that it will definitely effect the child when he or she gets into middle school and high school. It may not be the physical abuse but they mental. when a child is mentally abused, meaning get neglected, and the parents don't seem to care about the child.

Dear me,

The things I believe that I will need thirty years from now include being text-sabby meaning being up to date on all software, having good skills with technology.

Having  really good people skills to be able to communicate with all ages of people. I think I will need good communication skills because the way the world works now is things are more modern and they do things in person. having good skills in speaking to a crowd of people.

Being able to manage my money well so I can afford the things I will really want and to be able to support my family. Being good at managing money will be a huge effect on me later on so I can have the choice to go on several vacations with my family and not have to take out loans for random stuff that I will want.

daylight savings

I think that the daylight saving should stay the same. One reason I think that is because there are so many people who are use to it happening that it isn't a surprise to them when spring and fall roll around. we all know that when spring and fall comes so does day light savings. Keeping it the same will benefit the younger children to realize that around the world us people try to keep daylight savings so we have more time to go out and do what we want for that extra hour during the summer. And during the winter stay in side and sleep longer, to stay in when its cold outside. the last reason I was able to comes up was that when daylight saving comes it means that there are possibly going to be longer work days so you can make more money!

Friday, March 7, 2014

Today my objective is to call the daycares/preschools. The Learning Garden is on the top of my list the person who is head of the daycare is Lynn Easum. This being the daycare I went to during child development I know many of the workers there and know there was a situation there a while back where they had to get DFS involved. On Friday March, 21 I will be going to the learning garden at 2:30 to meet with her.

Friday, February 28, 2014

This month has been more successful then I thought it was going to be. I got phone numbers from all "BIGGER" (more popular) preschools/daycares in the Powell area. Last Friday I talked to Lynn Easum about getting in touch with her and talking more about how often they have to deal with DFS and what precautions they have to take to keep the children that they take care of safe. Next week I will be setting up a time and date that will be convenient to both of us so I can get all the information that I will need to have a completed project. As the weeks progress keeps going to a high I will be collecting more information from all the preschools/daycares in Powell that I am able to get.

20% project: 2/21/2014

Today I will be finding out if I can make some appointments with several day cares/pre-schools. And get more information on the percentage of how many times DFS is called in a yead for young children and if that takes an effect on how they act when they are in their teen years.

20% project

This week I will have to make a bigger effort to find more information on why DFS doesn't get more involved with they are contacted by preschools about harm that is going to to one of the children that they care for daily.
The research I found this week was that the only way they really get involved is when something really serious happens. Which is sad when the prices to go through all of it isn't as much as the people think it is. The price does vary but the most expensive price I saw was just over $800. To some people that may seem like a lot but when it comes to younger children it's worth it because in the end they will end up on the low risk or high risk of teens to get in trouble.

For or against raising minimum wage

I am for raising minimum wage to $9.00 I think that if you raise it anymore then $9.00 small jobs will be forced to have to cut their part time workers. Pew Research Center says that 71% of the people wanted to increase minimum wage.

          http://www.dol.gov/oasam/programs/history/reich/reports/pay.htm
Says that many people rely on minimum wage for their living. If they had the chance to make more money every two weeks or once a month they wouldn't have to worry as much about having enough money to take care of their families and would have the moneu to start a small family.

63 percent of minimum-wage workers are adults age 20 or over.
(Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics) everyone says that the only people working for minimum wage are teenagers which is a myth. Everyone who starts working usually starts out at minimus wage unless they start at a nursing job or a really high up job.
